Discove the Art and Fun of Party Masks

Party Masks: Do It Yourself or Buy It?

As most people I have intended, when I got that party invitation, you know the fancy dress one, to make my own costume. Well I am an arty sort of person I've produced stage sets and masks for productions, so why not?

Well the answer tends to be time.

With anything like this I am fine it I get commited early enough. If not its last minute panic and phone the costume higher shop. Do you know what I mean?

To be perfectly truthful I wouuld always prefer to make my own costume. The last time I did it was for a carnival parade in my home town Bradford. I even won a prize. But imagine being enclosed in several layers of sheet foam and other things dancing to a Brazilian band in the hot sun. A great way to lose pounds.

If you want to be comfortable in fancy dress choose materials and costume type carefully. I'll tell you my experience certainly made me think about the next time and what was suitable.

Think about this. What would you prefer to wear on a subway train stuck underground for 2 hours in the middle of a very hot summer? You may think something skimpy. But wait this train is packed, it's the morning rush hour!
